Kirkstall Platform Extension - Installation Of SME Foundations
As part of the project we undertook the installation of SME foundation behind the newly extended platform extension.
The works consisted of 6 number concrete strip foundation running approximately 32m long and 2.8m wide.
Timber shutters were manufactured by our operatives onsite along with the reinforcement cages.
Work duration was 4 weeks from start to finish.
Installation Of Grundomat Piles And Concrete Caps.
The project consisted of installing 54 concrete caps along with 162 Grundomat piles 220mm diameter and to a depth of 6m.
The programme of works was 14 weeks long and consisted of midweek and weekends.
Grundomat piles were installed using 2 x 180mm diameter moles assisted by 5 ton excavators.
Concrete caps were produced using specialist steel shutters specifically manufactured for the project, these also acted as temporary works when installed in close proximity to the running line.
